Author Ellen Langas and NouSoma Communications, Inc. Honored as Corporate Good Neighbor Literacy Heroes

 

Ellen Langas, author or the Girls Know How® book series and president of NouSoma Communications, Inc. were named as one of eight Literacy Heroes at the 6th annual Literacy Heroes Breakfast held April 8 at Longwood Gardens in Chadds Ford, PA. The program recognizes citizens and organizations that are making extraordinary efforts to promote reading and writing throughout the greater Philadelphia area.  Ellen and her company, were recognized for supporting and motivating young people to explore careers and follow their dreams through the original book series.

In addition to authoring the books, Ellen conducts free “Career Adventure Workshops” at schools, libraries, book stores, and Girl Scout meetings. The company has donated more than 4,000 books to service organizations helping children in need.  Free kids’ activities and study guides for teachers are available for download at www.girlsknowhow.com.
